Set at a trailer park in the deep south, Hamlet must get revenge on his Uncle Claudius, who has murdered Hamlet’s father and married Hamlet’s mother in order to gain control of the park. In this retelling of William Shakespeare’s Hamlet, we explore the response of a community when their way of life is threatened, commentate on the existing close-mindedness of many southern communities, and shine a light on the stereotypes we place on those communities as being stupid, dirty, and “trailer trash.”
